Question 1

Will this fit my existing pool niche?

Accepted Answer

The WPLV100WS100 is ETL listed to fit Jandy ProNiches and compatible niches from other major manufacturers. At 10.04 inches in diameter, it fits standard large pool niches. If you are replacing an existing large pool light, this is a direct swap in most cases.

Question 2

Is this LED or incandescent?

Accepted Answer

Incandescent — 100W, producing 768 lumens of warm white light. It gives the classic pool glow that many owners prefer. The trade-off versus LED is higher energy use and shorter bulb life. If you want color-changing LED capability, the Jandy WaterColors LED nicheless light (JLU4C24W150) is the alternative.

Question 3

Can I add color to this light without replacing the whole fixture?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The WPLV100WS100 accepts optional snap-on colored lenses and alternative face ring colors, so you can add a color effect without replacing the entire fixture. Colored lenses are sold separately.

Question 4

What transformer is required?

Accepted Answer

The WPLV100WS100 runs on 12V AC and draws 100 watts. A low-voltage transformer rated for at least 100W is required. If you are replacing an existing 12V pool light, your current transformer is likely compatible.

Question 5
